It’s always a good time to start archery. Archery is one of the most accessible sports, so no matter your age or ability why not give it a try.
Cressy Archers is a great place to get started. We offer beginner courses, run by qualified coaches which provide a safe, friendly and welcoming environment to learn about archery. These courses provide all the basics required to get started and ensure that you get the skills and equipment you need to enjoy archery in the future.
Have you ever wanted to try archery?
Archery is a sport for people of all ages! however, children do need to be at least 12 years old. The flexibility of shooting conditions allows an archer to compete in his or her own age group and to strive to qualify for the various levels of classifications available.
Archery is a great family activity, giving parents, grandparents, children and siblings a fun and relaxing way to spend time together, learning something new and cheering each other on.
Besides the weekly club shoots there are a number of tournaments sponsored by both individual clubs as well as by the Regional Governing Body (e.g. State Championships). There are also National Championships for both Junior and Open competition.
Our beginner courses are run by qualified coaches and provide a safe, friendly and welcoming environment to learn about archery. By the time you have completed your course you will be ready to shoot at any club.
The club supplies all the equipment required for the first week and a basics of Archery booklet. Following completion of the 5 hours course, you have the opportunity to attend the club for 10 visits as a guest, only paying for the hire of the equipment.
The course cost is $100 and includes hire of all equipment as well as insurance. For booking, please email our coach at cressycoach@yahoo.com
